Beehive College of Advance Studies, Dehradun: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Established in 2002, Beehive College of Advance Studies, Dehradun, is an affiliated college located at Selaqui in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The 11 courses in the institution are spread over 6 degree programmes in a campus area of 25 acres, enrolment 322 students. The institution belongs to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi. A faculty strength of 48 ensures that the student-faculty ratio at Beehive College is optimum.

Various facilities on campus make the atmosphere of learning comprehensive. The hub that serves the library is more than 20,000 books, periodicals, and digital resources on various subjects. The state-of-the-art computer laboratories are in full air-conditioned mode and well-prepared with both high-speed internet and Wi-Fi to enable the students to match steps with the fast-changing scenario of technology. In addition, the college provides well-maintained laboratories that offer hands-on experience, which is an essential part of the sciences and technology stream's coursework. The campus has facilities for cricket, volleyball, basketball, and facilities for indoor games. There is also a gym in the campus for the physical well-being of the students. The college provide to both boys and girls and offers separate hostels for each. Both the hostels are well furnished and provide with all the modern facilities so that the student lives comfortably.

Beehive College of Advance Studies offers a total of 11 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in multiple streams. These consist of six under-graduate programmes: B.Sc in Biotechnology, B.Sc in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology, B.Sc in Information Technology, BBA, BCA, and BPT. At the postgraduate level, the College offers M.Sc programmes in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Information Technology. The college also offers a B.Ed programme for aspired teachers.  All these courses are full-time regular programmes aiming at providing in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the respective fields. While the approved intake varies from programme to programme, the B.Ed course has an approved intake of 100 students.                                    

In most of the courses, the admissions are made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. B.Ed, candidates must appear at the B.Ed Entrance examination held by affiliated university. The institution maintains healthy industry contacts and makes conscious efforts to conduct guest lectures and maintain an updated alumni network to help students gain valuable insights into their future career paths.
