BEL Women’s College, set up in the year 1994 Runner Institute Affiliated to Bangalore University Located in Jalahalli, Bangalore, Karnataka. This institution in located on a 3 acre plot of land and provides quality education specialising in commerce and management. Recognised by NAAC the BEL First Grade College was established in 1987 with an aim of imparting quality and value based education. A total strength of student enrolment for the college is 273 and with 11 faculties, which shows that the college aptly manages favourable student faculty ratio.
The college also owns quite a number of infrastructures that can be of added advantage in preparation for learning. Equally important, the facilities of learning resources centre containing 12000 books, periodicals, newspapers, previous years, question papers and establishing the students for such knowledge seeking. For the sports and games lovers there is Ambedkar Stadium of BEL for outdoor games such as cricket, football, handball, kabaddi, kho-kho and tennikoit etc. The organized carrom, table tennis, chess can be played at the on-campus sports room for the fond of indoor games. The college also has a well equipped computer laboratory that has LCD projectors and UPS to allow practical exercises that the students can have whereby they can learn exercises such as E-Business Accounting as well as Computer Applications in Business.
BEL First Grade College currently offers full-time undergraduate programmes: Bachelors of Commerce, Business Administration, and B.Voc programnes. The intake capacity of the B.Com for the current academic year has been approved for 100 seats whereas the B.B.A programme has 60 seats only. They both last for three years and offer the pupils a platform from which to master their selected disciplines. These two programmes are ideally focused in the college thus the college is able to provide specialised attention and resources on commerce and business education.
