Bellamkonda Polytechnic College, Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, is one of the reputed institutions in technical education. The affiliated college was started in the year 2008. The Bellamkonda Polytechnic College has developed a number of facilities to make the learning experience in the college memorable. One of the main academic-resource cornerstones of the college, the library has an excellent collection—an aggregate of 905 titles, 4,630 volumes, and with 12 national and 8 international journals on subscriptions. It has a reading hall capacity of 150, and is functional from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the evening, which enables students to undertake sufficient research work and self-study. 

Bellamkonda Polytechnic College has a total of four full-time diploma courses, each of three years duration. These courses are for different branches of the engineering stream, giving students many wide range of opportunities for extension according to their interest.

The entire admission process at Bellamkonda Polytechnic College has been adopted to ensure transparency and fairness. Candidates who wish to apply for admission to the diploma courses have to participate in the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test, or the AP POLYCET. It is a state-level entrance examination through which many engineering courses are offered at college.
