BES Teachers Training Institute is an eminent teacher education institution, situated in the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, and was started in the year 2004. This affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has been pioneering education for about two decades. Located in a small 4.31 acre space in Jayanagar itself, the institute provides a niche pedagogy for teachers. BES Teachers Training Institute offers a perfect learning environment with 122 students and a competent faculty base of 8 members. At present, the institute admits students into only one degree programme in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in response to quality teacher education.

BES Teachers Training Institute has a number of amenities aimed at improving the learning environment of the student of the institute. A good library resource centre helps in knowledge gathering by having over 14,741 quality books, encyclopaedas, journals and periodicals. The library occupies the area of 1460.625 sq.m., registered for 40 people at the same time and provides Internet-connection and reprography. Another advantage is that the institute also has separated laboratories, such as the Kannada Laboratory with new paradigms in teaching methods and the Psychology Laboratory which is helpful for work practice. For technology driven learning there is computer laboratory with 25 advance computers and high speed internet facilities for the faculty and students. Marudevegowda Rangamandira is the auditorium of the institute with a seating capacity of about 1000 persons to stage so many academic and cultural programmes.

The only course offered by BES Teachers Training Institute is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This A level course is a two year, full time, programme which has an approved capacity of fifty students. The B.Ed programme aims at preparing the students to fit in as appropriate professionals in various contexts within the education sector. The training of teachers can be done more effectively with the aid of focused instruction since its alumni are equip for the posts that are to await them in the sector.

The admission policy of BES Teachers Training Institute helps to determine that the admission is based on the merit system as directed by the government of the state. The institute may also use other forms of selection in accordance to the standard prescribed by the state government or UT administration.
