Bethesda Women Teachers Training College Ranchi , established in 1987, is a premier institution in the future of education. This women’s college has been training faculty for over three decades of students from the centre of Jharkhand’s capital. It is an affiliated college spreading over an area of 3.2 acres and is an NAAC accredited college. Having been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education-NCTE, it serves as an institute for quality teacher education in that region.

Bethesda Women Teachers Training College boasts of providing the good facilities to make sure that it supports the whole learning process. Students are privileged to have an efficient library that house and provides numerous resources for different academic needs. The campus is equipped with modern computer laboratories to prepare the student with the emergent education technologies. To improve students'stay, the college offers a girls’ hostel inside the college compound especially for students who travel long distances from home. It also focuses on the need of physical health where the institution provides a sporting complex/facilities plus a gym/fitness centre to improve fitness. An auditorium is used as a hall for day to day functions and seminars, which improves the campus life. Bethesda Women Teachers Training College offers two courses, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed). Both the courses take two years to complete and are full time courses that prepare students for a teaching career through the provision of adequate knowledge and expertise. At present, the M.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 50 seats proposed to accommodate post-level applicants who may aim to land higher positions in this field. The college has total enrolment capacity of 237 and faculty strength of 16 teachers, therefore, student teacher ration is ideal which help the college to provide proper individual attention to the students.

Bethesda Women Teachers Training College being an institution upholds merit as the main tool used in admitting students into the institute. In case of the B.Ed programme, the selection list is made according to the merit of the candidate on the basis of their performance in the qualifying test. Also in the case of the M.Ed programme, admission is given based on merit so as to admit the most deserving candidates.
