Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Barshi, is established in the year 2010 in the district of Solapur in Maharashtra. Affiliated to this college, it has risen as one of the major educational institutions in the district, being spread over 10 acres. BIT is accredited by NAAC and approved by AICTE; thus, it is growing continuously towards its goals of imparting quality technical education and adhering to national standards in technical education. Offering 1,006 enrolments with faculty strength of 69, BIT provides a vast choice of 7 courses under 2 programs with its special focus on several engineering streams.

Several facilities have been provided in this institution to help in the learning environment and development of students as a whole. Other than that, the campus is fully equipped with well-equipped laboratories for practical hands-on training, large libraries endowed with fresh resources, and fully modern IT infrastructures that keep pace with changing technology. BITS also provides separate in-campus hostels for boys and girls intended for those who need accommodation. The health and welfare of the institute's community are of prime concern; hence, there is an on-campus health facility where first-aid-ready services are provided. It includes facilities for sports and the gym to bring physical fitness to the students. A cafeteria is available, with an auditorium for various events and seminars and guest rooms for comfortable lodging of visiting faculty and family members.

BIT offers a total of 7 courses, comprising full-time B. Tech programs and Diploma courses. The courses are four years long in the case of B. Tech, and three years for the Diploma programs, respectively. The institute has an intake capacity of 480 seats for offering all of its courses and that culminates with the best blend of engineering aspirations from a varied range of students. The designing of the program structure in such a way so as to equip its students well with a foundation in respective fields and enable them for career success respecting the technological dynamism is our continuous endeavour.
