Bhagwanti Education Centre Degree College, Kanpur, has been co-educational institute with several programs. For ensuring selection of deserving candidates for varied courses, the college itself has put in a very long admission procedure. Mostly, it follows the academic calendar to announce admissions through various months just prior to the start of any academic year. The college has included eight undergraduate full-time courses to allow students to choose his or her preferred courses.  distributed across various programs, these different methods of admission into these programs by course- some admit by merit while others may have entrance exams. With regard to the undergraduate programs, the general qualifying requirement is 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board. The admission to B.Sc, B.Sc Biotechnology, BBA, and BCA courses is based solely on qualifying examination (Class 12) marks.

Application Process

1. Notification: The notification for the start of the admission process is published on the college website and in other forms of media.

2. Application Form: Candidates are to procure the application form either online from the college website or through the colleges.

3. Document Submission: Duly filled application forms should be submitted along with photographs and other supporting documents such as:

• Marksheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, Graduation as applicable)
• Transfer Certificate
• Character Certificate
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Any other documents specified by the college for particular courses

4. Entrance (if any): For pursuing B.Ed, students may need to qualify for an entrance examination conducted by the state government and the university.

5. Preparation of Merit List: The college will prepare merit lists as per the merit criteria laid down for each course. For the most undergraduate courses, it will be based on Class-12 marks.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The B.Ed course under Bhagwanti Education Centre Degree College has 200 seats allocated. Admission into this course shall be strictly based on merit, looking at the score gained on qualifying examination, and/or an entrance examination determined strictly by the state government rules and university guidelines.

D.El.Ed: 100 seats are allocated for D.El.Ed. Admission to this course is based on merit. The selection procedure determined the average of marks scored in Class 10th, Class 12th, and Graduation.

M.Ed.: The entry for the M.Ed. program is based on 50 seats available in the college. While the exact criteria for admission remain unspecified, it is expected that the admission would be on merit on the program, as in most postgraduate programs.

B.Sc and B.Sc Biotechnology: While merit may be based on admission into the two B.Sc programs evaluated through the marks obtained in Class 12 examinations, different specializations in addition to Biotechnology are offered by the college under B.Sc.

BBA and BCA: Admission for these programs is based on the 12th class merit.

Nursery Teacher Training Diploma: Under this diploma program, the college has full 50 seats for admission. Though admission procedure information is not available publicly, it is presumed to have used merit as its criteria for admission, similar to all diploma courses.
