Bhai Asa Singh Girls College, Bathinda: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bhai Asa Singh Girls College was started in 1973 and is one of the premier colleges for women of Punjab situated at Goniana, Bathinda. Being an affiliated college it located at 6 acres and has been imparting education to the young generation for nearly fifty years. The college enrolment a total of 254 students and has 24 members in the faculty so the students get an individual attention. The institution offers five different degree programs, which include undergraduate and postgraduate programs, to satisfy different learner’s needs. It is an all female college; this format is quite helpful in supporting women’s college education and the growth of the girl child.

The colleges contributes well equipped ward amenities to support and complement the learning process. It has got a store house of books, encyclopedias, magazines, and the most popular English , Punjabi and Hindi newspapers that acts like a knowledge base for the students. This is evidenced by the countering lab which has quality computers of different brands and high speed internet to enhance student’s technological experience. 

For physical development, the college provides a broad playground that encourages participants in sports and other outdoor activities. Other facilities available are an assembly hall for functions and meetings, science and art laboratories, dining hall, and a dispensary with a sick bay. Transportion facilities are also available within the college so students can easily approach the college from different neighboring areas.

In all, Bhai Asa Singh Girls College has five full-time programmes in different disciplines. The course delivered by the university are B.A., B.Com., B.C.A., P.G.D.C.A., and M.Sc Information Technology (For lateral Entry). These programs are offered to cater for various fields of specialization, social sciences, language and commerce as well as in technology. For all the courses the approved intake is 270 thus creating a good chance for all aspiring students.
