Bharath College of Education, Thanjavur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bharath College of Education is a Co-educational institution established in the year 2008 in Thanjavur, exclusively to train teachers of the future. This affiliated college is situated at New Bus Stand, Trichy Road and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Stretched in an area of one acre of land, the college is at present running only one course, namely, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). There is a total enrolment of students 124 and the faculty strength of the college is 12 hence the college is compact, catering only to teacher education.

Bharath College of Education is at present offering only one course under its banner, the two-year full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), which has an authorized strength of one hundred students. This type of focus is beneficial for the institution as it can focus its effort towards offering quality teacher education. The B.Ed program is a unique innovative and tailor-made program in the present age of globalized educational system to make the profession of teaching a successful one.

This college has a variety of effective facilities which can enrich the learning process of every student. The library of Bharath College of Education is a centre for learning and has more than 4,000 volumes of books in education, languages and other related fields, such as new/daily journals, magazines and newspapers. Educational facilities of the college include Educational Technology, Computer Science, Psychology, Language, Science and Mathematics. Especially, the IT infrastructure stands out from the rest it has equipment that enables students practical sessions that include; photo editing software like Photoshop, Pagemaker, and Corel Draw; and internet skills that are mandatory for teachers in the modern world. 

Admissions of students to Bharath College of Education are done based on scores achieved in the qualifying test and/or entrance exam. The college is bound by the rules for admission prescribed by the state government or Union Territory, as the case may be, and the university to which the college is affiliated. This also guarantees a credible process through which anyone who wants to be an educator will be chosen.
