Bharath College of Education Thiruvarur was established in 2008. It is situated in Thiruvarur, Tamil Nadu, India and this institution focuses mainly on teacher education. The college, approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), offers two full-time courses: B.Ed and M.Ed. For those wishing to advance their learning the college offers a Master of Education (M.Ed) programme also a two-year full-time programme with an approved intake of 50 students. 

The admission criteria of Bharath College of Education are as follows: Merit-based as per norms of the state government, UT administration and as per norms of the university to which the college is affiliated. The students seeking admission in the B.Ed program are selected according to the marks they have secured in the qualifying or entrance test. Likewise, the criteria for the M. Ed course are based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying examination and entrance test only. The college follows any extra selection procedure according to State Government, Central Government or University Administration.
