Bharathi Women’s Arts and Science College, Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu, is a women focused institution for higher learning which was started in 1997. This affiliated college has been cultivating knowledge for more than 20 years. The institution occupies a vast land area of 9.5 acres and provides students and learning interests with 14 courses in 8 degrees. The total number of students is 1,563 while the college has hired 250 teachers to cater to the needs of the students making a better student-teacher ratio which is very important for a quality education.

Bharathi Women’s Arts and Science College have a host of facilities which seek to improve the learning process. A well-equipped library serves as a knowledge centre, operating from 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 8:30 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays. The campus facilities for sports lovers range from indoor games such as athletics, basketball and outdoor facilities such as cricket, volleyball, kho-kho, chess, badminton etc. The college has set up students’ technological needs by affording students technological requirements needed in their daily lives. It has also provided an air-conditioned auditorium capable of holding about 600 people where different event and functions can take place. 30 buses to accommodate students and staff transportation from different parts of neighboring areas have been provided.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered at the Bharathi Women’s Arts and Science College. The institution offers 14 full time courses out of which some of the common one are B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BA, M.Sc, MA and M.Com. The courses include programmes offered in many disciples like Tamil, English Language, Computer, Mathematics, Physics, Microbiology and Chemistry. This aspect of the college is well represented by the number of specialisations available for students that addresses different career paths and more fields of study.
