The Institute of Management, Kolhapur, which is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed) University, Pune, was established in 1994 under the mentorship of Dr. Patangrao Kadam. Till 2005, the BVIM was affiliated with Shivaji University, Kolhapur and was brought under BVDU, Pune from the academic year 2005-06.
