Bhubaneswar Engineering College also known as BEC, was established in the year 2008, at Bhubaneswar in Odisha state of India. This affiliated college, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, provides multi disciplinary engineering and management courses. Located in a consolidated campus of 10 acres, BEC Bhubaneswar has total student strength of 1519 and faculties of 142 members. Bhubaneswar Engineering College has 18 programmes offered in 3 degree levels that offer specialisation in Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil, Aeronautical, and Electrical Engineering and MBA along with different diploma programmes.

BEC Bhubaneswar is determined to equip different academic fields with state of art facilities and resources so that students feel happier to learn here. BEC Bhubaneswar provides well equipped laboratories and workshop with professional technicians to provide practical demonstration of an idea or concept that students come across in their classes. The central Lib-Sys software supports a copious amount of books, journals and research publications to support academic and technical development programs. Accomodation: out of the student comfort the institute maintains separate hostels for boys and girls with big spacious well furnished room with all the modern amenities. The campus has a health center with a first aid that, sporting facilities, a students and staffs cafeteria.

There are in total 18 courses being offered by BEC Bhubaneswar, covering full time B.Tech and MBA and Diploma courses. The B.Tech programmes cover all engineering disciplines such as computers, mechanical, civil, aeronautical, electrical, and agriculture, and emerging specialty areas like data science and additive manufacturing. The MBA program is designed for the management professionals of future whereas Diploma courses include Civil, Mech., Aeronautical and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

The process of admission at Bhubaneswar Engineering College clearly follows certain basic norms of admission; the admission is made purely on merit basis. Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech programmes must have a JEE Main/OJEE rank/ score. MBA applicants shall have appeared for any of the following national level entrance tests: CAT/MAT/ XAT/CMAT/ AIMA / OJEE etc. Concerning Diploma programs use scores from the Diploma Entrance Test or DET.
