BKM College of Education, Purulia: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

BKM College of Education, Purulia is a co-educational institution that was established in the year 2014 for the growth and nourishment of future educators. Affiliated with any college, right in the heart of the beautiful village Lachhia, West Bengal, the Institution has won recognition from the National Council for Teacher Education. With prior approval from the State Government, set amidst a compact 0.89-acre campus, BKM College provides an appropriate setting for focused learning to its 190 students. This is indeed encouraging, with a total of 16 dedicated teachers in this faculty. This gives enough scope for personalized attention and hence quality education in its two specialized courses.

The institution boasts of well-available modern facilities manifold raising the standard of the learning environment for the students studying here. A well-stocked library acts as a knowledge center by providing necessary materials for the budding teacher. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the students can be connected through online educational materials. A well-equipped on-campus gym is a treat for the fitness enthusiast. There are laboratories located within the college campuses to help practical learning experiences among the students. There is also an auditorium apt for providing venues for events, seminars, and cultural activities which add value to the college experience. The college offers two full-time courses. Both of these courses are for two years. The institution imparts intensive training to the budding teacher at two different levels. At one, it is prepared for the B.Ed. at secondary and higher secondary teaching, and on another, the D.El.Ed. is aimed more at the primary level of education.

B.K.M College of Education Admission Policy aims at selecting promising candidates for teachers' training courses. Admissions are provided to both B.Ed and D.El.Ed courses based on merit lists drawn in accordance with the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
