BL Patil Polytechnic was set in the year 1983 and it is one of the pioneering institute offering technical education in Khopoli, Raigad district of Maharashtra. This affiliated college which was approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) offers degree programmes in various engineering disciplines at diploma level. With the total area of just 4.28 acres, a polytechnic has 141 students and 32 members of faculty team. BL Patil Polytechnic has set focus on technical education offers six full time diploma courses with the duration of three years each in different engineering disciplines. 

BL Patil Polytechnic boasts of a range of updates to improve the learning environment for the learners enrolled in the courses provided by the institute. The well-stocked library makes available to the students and other member of the academic community a vast collection of technical books and other literature. They have a fully equipped gym, for those with a passion for physical fitness and interpersonal communication and the college has effective remedy in this facility. The campus also boasts laboratories suitable for each department to provide the students with hands on practical lessons.

There are six diploma courses being offered in the BL Patil Polytechnic and all of these are day time programmes. The institute has been allowed to admit a total of 240 students for all its programmes, which shows that it has the ability to train a good number of would-be engineers every year. The courses are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, and so on.

Regarding the admission process, the required marks of SSC (10th standard) examination or equivalent marks & counseling process & etc. is used in polytechnics of Maharashtra.
