It was in the year 1993 that Bongaigaon Law College became one of the recognized legal institutes in the district of Bongaigaon in Assam. This affiliated college, registered under the provisions of the Bar Council of India, has been producing legal minds for almost three decades. On having a compact area of 1 acre, this institution provides a concentrated learning environment for the pursuit of studying aspiring lawyers. Bongaigaon Law College provides the intimate academic atmosphere of 168 students in all and a faculty strength of 7, providing for more close contact between students and professors.

The college has a wide range of facilities, such as improving student learning environment, which functions to add on to it. This collage library forms the hub of all these amenities, which started its journey much the same as that of the institution in 1993. Its umpteen collections include textbooks, reference books, journals, and legal publications-a pride housed in a 500 sq. ft. room. On an open access system, the students have easy access from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on working days. The events and seminar auditorium of the college offers a vista of intellectual debate and cultural events. Since it is known that technology has become a great tool in legal education today, Bongaigaon Law College has managed to take proper care of excellent IT infrastructure so that students are kept abreast with the digital advancement happening in this very field of law. The facility of the Moot Court is one of the other distinguished features of Bongaigaon Law College. It is a very well-equipped space that offers a platform as near to the actual court proceeding as possible. Adding value for the students comes in the form of practical experience in drafting memorials and developing law-related skills. Such moot court activities fall within the commitment of the institution in order to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application of law. Bongaigaon Law College now offers only one course: the three-year degree of Bachelor of Laws (LLB). This full-time, three-year degree is the mainstream program of the college, having an approved intake capacity of 60 students every year. The LLB program is designed to deliver an all-rounded understanding of diverse dimensions of law with a hands-on approach so that students are able to swim effectively in the legal profession. Though this college has only this flagship course, it ensures that the education they provide is end-to-end and covers all the essential areas under legal studies.
