The BPS Institute of Higher Learning Sonepat was established in the year 1967 in the name of Bhiwani. Khanpur Kalan is, in its own way, prestigious for being a constituent college. This women-only institute is accommodated over a superb stretcher of 20 acres and is pledged for churning out quality education for female pupils. The institute has a total enrolment of 1,424 students with a faculty body of 25 and offers 7 different courses through 4 different degree programs.

Admission to most undergraduate courses, BA, B.Sc Medical, B.Sc Non-Medical, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Sc Home Science and other courses are made on a marks basis in the qualifying examinations. The M.Sc Home Science course also accepts students on the sole basis of merit.
