BR College of Pharmacy, Hardoi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The BR College of Pharmacy was set up at Rajepur Village, Mallanwa, Bilgram, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh in 2019, and is an affiliated college. This is a relatively young university already making ‘head- way’ in pharmaceutical education with the provision of both the undergraduate and diploma programmes in pharmacy. The college is now located in a 2-acre roc persuasion and currently it has a student strength of 75 and 07 faculty members cadre. BR College of Pharmacy provides two primary courses: A B.Pharma which is a four year programme and D.Pharma of two year duration to address the need of professional pharmacists in the health care sector in India. 

The college has variety of amenities to foster the learning needs of students and enhance their growth. The major form of academic resource is the central library that provides books, journals and magzines of great variety and some of them are rare refernce books in the field of pharmacy. The library is at the moment in the process of developing an online resource to improve access to current national and international journals. Currently, the college has functional, centrally based department laboratories to achieve practical experience in trainings that are essential for the students’ carrier objectives. The upgraded college of pharmacy has a computer center with Internet facilities to allow students to access Pharmacopoeia from around the globe.

In total BR College of Pharmacy provides the ability to get a 2 diplomas, for the moment college teaches only full time programs. For the B.Pharma, the course takes four years, but the D.Pharma takes two years to complete. While seat matrix for each course has not been specified in terms of the overall number of seats to be offered for each course in the college, minimum and maximum percentage of students intake is reported to be 75. It is conductive atmosphere that enables faculty to make one to one contacts with the learners and thus ensures that the learners gain a professional and academic experience as they study pharmacy. 

BR College of Pharmacy moreover has centralized its admission procedure on entrance tests. For the B.Pharma program the admission done through Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE). B. Pharm and D. Pharm aspirants are expected to sit for JEECUP, Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh. These standardized tests help for a fair and competitive admission system that admit students based on merit and capability in takeing pharmaceutical courses. It is for this reason that the college ensures it offers students an all–round education. Hostel accommodation is provided for students with the generic boy’s hostel and girl’s hostel to facilitate easy accommodation. The campus has a large and clean canteen, which provides hot snacks/tiffin fresh from the kitchen under the guidance of a separate messing committee. For those who have interest in sports and physical activities the college has a playground where outdoor activities such as football, volleyball, cricket, basketball among others may be carried out and other exercising facilities for indoor activities. This College also has a gym which if can be used by students who willing to workout on Campus. To encourage the use of transport the college has its own bus service which plys within the city and estates to the college. In the present growing context of BR College of Pharmacy, the college would like to contribute as one of the advancing pharmacy institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Being a college that aims at offering quality education, practical training alongside humane learning environment, the college will be producing competent pharmacy professionals able to and willing to serve in the health majors.
