BR Tambakad Arts, Commerce and Science First Grade College, Haveri, Karnataka, was set up in 1992. Located in Vidyanagar, Hirekerur, this affiliated college is established in a vast area of 4 Acres of land. The total student enrolment in the institution is 979 students and it has 36 faculties and professors, defining a rich collection of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. 

BR Tambakad Arts, Commerce and Science First Grade College is equipped with many facilities that help to facilitate the learning of the student. A mature and advanced library with internet connectivity and accompanied by library automation, information management, and control system is available as an information resource centre. The institution has shown its seriousness to include technology in its IT department with the college having a computer lab which is internet enabled for both students and staff use. The department wise laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, computers etc include sufficient number of gadgets and materials. The campus has installed Wi-Fi networks that connect the whole compound, allowing to carry out of research and online classes. For those who have an interest in sports and fitness, the college provides as a facility a big play ground that can support games of cricket, volley ball and athletics. For the students’ benefit, the university maintains an on-campus health centre catering for first aid care to students. 

The college offers a total of four courses which include are the Bachelor’s degree programmes of three years B.Com, BA and B.Sc. In addition for the learners who wish to advance in their education in commerce, the college provides a two year Master of Commerce course (M.Com). All these courses are available in the full time.
