BVVS College of Education is situated at Bagalkot and was set up in 2005 to transform the future of learning prospects. This co-educational college lies in Bagalkot, University system college affiliated to Kuvempu University approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college holds National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation to show the college is a quality learning institution. BVVS College of Education is a small college located in a 1 acre of land and delivers two Education oriented courses to a total of 172 students. The college continually employs and has a faculty of 17 competent teachers that ensure that students receive individual attention.

BVVS College of Education has installed several facilities since its establishment with a core aim of improving competency of students as well as their learning abilities. Being an essential component of academic resources, every institution should have a infirmary, professed with the necessary educational literature and offering the students admiring and suitable conditions for effective studying. In particular, the institute is proud of itself for having very well equipped computer laboratory to impart necessary technology skills in today’s world. To support practical, experiential learning, the college has made available departmental laboratories where students can put into practice concepts learned in class. Apart from academic life, the BVVS College of Education knows that the students need a balanced life. Sports and a specially equipped gym are present on the territory of the campus with the aim of supporting active lifestyles. An auditorium is used for college occasions, seminars and cultural performances whether in day or evening times, enhancing student activity. The college also offers student care services to promote the wellbeing of the college thru the health centre offering first aid to members in the college.

BVVS College of Education offers two full-time courses in the field of education: Bachelors of Education (B. ED) and Masters of Education ( M. ED). The above programmes are meant to equip students for effective practice in teaching and educational management. The B.Ed programme which is the flagship programme of the college has an approved intake capacity of 100 students to make career opportunities easily available for the candidates. 

The admission process in this BVVS College of Education follows merit as well as transparency following the rules and regulations of the state government, university and other educational authorities. For the programme of B.Ed, on the basis of the marks they secured in the qualifying examination they can be given admissions and or based on the merit in the entrance examination conducted to them. The college may also find useful to include other selection procedures depending on current policies that may be in force. Likewise, for M.Ed programme, there are minimum requirements of marks in the qualifying examination and an entrance test; thus, the best candidates are offered the programme.
