Cauvery Institute of Technology (CIT) is one of the modern educational institutions situated at Mandya, Karnataka; which was set up in the year 2014. This affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has become the favourite point for those students who wish to be engineers and computer professionals. CIT Mandya has an area of 11 acres and a total of 398 students are admitted in varying technical programs. The staff of the institute is highly qualified, including 58 members, which provides rather a convenient ratio between students and teachers. This enabled the university to offer 6 courses in two-degree programs focusing on various engineering disciplines and computer applications according to the dynamic market demand.

It boasts of newly-provided facilities in order to provide the best learning environment for its students. There is also a college library that has a sturdy reference section that holds 75 Students at a time. It has an excellent library with books, journals, e-resources, and memberships of IEEE, J-GATES, ASME, Springer etc. The facilities include the digital library and the audio-visual section which consolidates learning materials needed by the students. 

Mindful of the responsibility it has towards the students, CIT Mandya has provided its students with a health centre with first aid facilities. For those who have an interest in sports and other related physical activities, the college has well outfitted indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, thus the college is able to provide a balanced form of education.

CIT Mandya has extensive academic programmes and courses which address the needs of the industries. For the convenience of the reader, it is useful to describe the institute’s offering of 6 full-time courses, of which 4 are undergraduate engineering courses and one postgraduate computer applications course. The total number of intake approved for all the courses offered in the institute is 360, which is an aspiration of achieving quality education. BE program includes core areas of engineering that are Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. Besides, the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program is designed for those students who wish to have higher learning in the area of computer science.

Through a transparent and efficient process at CIT Mandya, deserving candidates be offered an equal chance of pursuing a course of their interest. For undergraduate engineering programs, the institute accepts scores from two prominent entrance examinations: the COMEDK UGET and the KCET. Both exams have become compulsory prerequisites for students seeking to be considered in the institution.
