Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology, Haldia: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

CIPET Haldia is a specialized institution established in 2002 for petrochemicals engineering and technology education. Located in Haldia, West Bengal this is a government institution approved by AICTE. CIPET Haldia offers diploma and post-graduate diploma programs with focus on plastics technology and mould design. The institute has 15 faculty members and student enrolled is 80.

CIPET Haldia has facilities to enhance the learning experience of the students. The institute has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics where students can get hands on training under the guidance of experts. A spacious library with RFID facility has around 4000 volumes of books, periodicals and reference materials and digital library for online resources. The campus has indoor and outdoor sports facilities to promote physical activity and team spirit among students. An air conditioned auditorium with 250 seating capacity and open auditorium with 1500 seating capacity for various events and conferences. For outstation students CIPET Haldia has a boys hostel with facilities like internet room, reading room, indoor games, gym and dining hall. The campus has a centralised cafeteria which provides nutritious food and snacks to the students.

The institute offers 4 full time programs including 2 diploma, 1 post-graduate diploma and 1 post-diploma program. The total approved intake is 210 seats. 

Admission process in CIPET Haldia varies for each program. For Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD CAM admission is based on CIPET Joint Entrance Exam (CIPET JEE). This is a mandatory exam for the aspiring students.
