The present study is carried out in a specialized institution, the CIPET, Bhubaneswar – known as the MCTI Campus, which offers education in petrochemicals engineering and technology. This institute was set up in 2005 as a government of Odisha and is located in the Mancheswar Industrial Area, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Small in size, the CIPET Bhubaneswar campus is spread over 5 acres and as such, offers a niche programme in plastics and petrochemicals technology. It is affiliated to the All India Council for Technical Education (AICT) Currently the institute has two hundred odd studentsStrength: 503 and 30 faculty members. CIPET Bhubaneswar is also distinctive for its specialization; it offers only three regular courses in different streams but at diploma and post-graduate diploma levels, all of which are peeped in plastics technology and its ancillary field.
