• CTRTI Ranchi is organising a hands-on training programme in molecular biology techniques from 4 December to 8 December 2023. 

Central Tasar Research and Training Institute Ranchi, established in 1964, is the premier institution in India. CTRTI Ranchi is under the administrative control of the Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, GoI and is affiliated with Ranchi University, Ranchi. CTRTI Ranchi is dedicated to training and research in the fields of tasar silk cultivation and production. A postgraduate diploma (PGDM) course in Sericulture (Vanya silk) is offered by the Central Tasar Research and Training Institute with a duration of 15 months. Candidates with or without a background in biological science are eligible to apply for the PGDM sericulture course. Admission to the CTRTI Ranchi PGD sericulture course is based on the availability of seats and is direct. However, candidates without a degree in biological sciences should appear for the screening test conducted by the CTRTI Ranchi. The campus of Central Tasar Research and Training Institute Ranchi has modern infrastructure and offers various services to students.
