Chaitanya Engineering College was established in the year 2002 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. It has a spacious 50-acre campus with a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and management programs. The institution has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education and is an affiliated college. With a total student enrolment of 747 and a faculty strength of 225, CEC offers an ideal environment to carry out the learning process. The Institution offers 19 courses in 5 degree programs: B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, and Ph.D. in the areas of various Engineering Specializations, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Management Studies.

CEC has outstanding facilities helping to set high standards for the overall experience of students. There are separate, well-furnished boys' and girls' hostels on campus with round-the-clock security and modern facilities for the comfort and safety of the students. The academic programs extend from 11 undergraduate courses and 5 postgraduate courses to 3 diploma programs. Among these are full-time B.Tech degrees in various engineering specializations, MBA, MCA, and M.Tech programs, along with some diploma courses.

The admission process to Chaitanya Engineering College is primarily based on merits and entrance examinations. In the case of B.Tech courses, 70% of students will be admitted through AP EAMCET and 30% under management quota. These quenches in management quota will be based upon a minimum of 60 percent marks in the Intermediate Examination or AP EAMCET rank. The college also accepts scores from AP PGECET for its postgraduate courses in engineering, AP POLYCET for diploma courses, and APICET for MCA.
