Chaitanya Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, Warangal (CIPS) is an approved and accredited pharmaceutical institute is formed in the year 2007. This affiliated college is situated at Kazipet in Warangal district of Telangangana and has cultivated its own name in providing education in the field of pharmacy. Affiliated with the AICTE and PCI, CIPS provide various pharmaceutical courses. The institute occupies a total area of 5 acres of land and at present, it teaches 184 students as the faculty is comprised of 47 members. The pharmaceutical programmes by CIPS encompasses 3 courses offered from two degree levels.
Chaitanya Institute of Pharmaceutical Science pride itself in providing a wide range of facilities to help in the improvement of its students learning. The institutions has functional laboratories that caters to the practical aspect that is required in the college. A modern library is an information centre that offers students the range of useful materials for their academic process. In as far as physical fitness and recreation is concerned, CIPS has put in place a sports facility and a gym. The college has facilities in grounds for playing some of the sports such as football, volleyball, cricket, and tennis court for students to have balances of extra classes, games, and exercises. Academic discussions of up to 250 people are held in a seminar hall where workshops and cultural performances also take place. It also has a health centre with provisions for first aid to take care of students' health needs. Also, there is a canteen on-campus that meets all the dietary needs of students and the workforce.
As a whole, Chaitanya Institute of Pharmaceutical Science provides 3 courses, all these courses are on the full-time basis. The institute offers 1 undergraduate programme in Pharmaceutical Science and 3 postgraduate programs on the same field. The accreditation capacity for all courses is 154 students in total. At undergraduate level, CIPS offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme with intake capacity of one hundred. For postgraduate studies, the institute provides two specialised M.Pharma programmes: Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis, each programme takes in 18 students.
The admission process in Chaitanya Institute of Pharmaceutical Science is merit based and carries a specific flow. For admission in B.Pharma programme, the candidate needs to be qualified in the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test known as (TS EAMCET). Any candidate who wants to get admitted in good postgraduate college must needs to qualify Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). The institute allows these types of standardised test scores to be admitted so as to make the competition fair. Although the admission may have a yearly calendar, candidates are encouraged to follow TS EAMCET and TS PGECET exams since they inform the admission to CIPS. For the interest of quality education delivery, the institute has been approved by various regulatory agencies in order to offer relevant pharmaceutical education in the central of Telangana state.
