Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education, established in the year 1977, is a one of the premiere institutes of physical education. This co-educational college holds its ground over 32 acres spread across Gultekdi in Pune. Affiliated and accredited by NAAC, this college has obtained NCTE approval for specialised programs in physical education. It has a quality-based learning environment supplemented by the total student enrolment of 288, and the faculty strength is 12. Four types of different degree courses are offered, including Bachelors, Masters, M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Physical Education, which covers all possible specialisations pertaining to the branch of the study. 

The college provides an impressive variety of facilities aimed at the purpose of supporting the holistic development of a student in physical education. Special worth-mentioning sports infrastructure is two basketball courts, four volleyball courts, one football field, and one hockey field. The students will benefit from a standard 400m running track, an Indian Games Arena for Kabaddi and Kho-kho, two handball courts, and two futsal courts. The campus features a skating rink, three tennis courts, and a multi-purpose indoor hall for badminton and table tennis. Separate hostels for boys and girls with sports facilities are provided for comfortable accommodation of students. There is well-equipped gym for physical training as well as a library for academic pursuit. Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education offers total four full-time courses: B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education), M.P.Ed (Master of Physical Education), M.Phil in Physical Education, and Ph.D. in Physical Education. The physical education programs are very small and specific, which should mean great attention to detail and dedication to their subject.

Admission to Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education is strictly as per the course. Applicants for B.P.Ed need to appear at the B.P.Ed Common Entrance Test which comprises a paper containing theoretical components, and also physical efficiency tests. Likewise, candidates for M.P.Ed have to appear for the M.P.Ed CET, having theoretical papers along with physical papers. The procedure of admission to M.Phil and Ph.D courses is advanced.
