Chatrapur Women’s Degree College was started in the year 1998 and is an affiliated college at Chatrapur of Odisha state. This is a women only college whose main aim is to offer quality education to female persons in the region. Located in a 7 acre facility, the college provides various courses of bachelors degree in arts and humanities. The college has total of 363 students and faculty of 7 persons in which college has maintain very response student teacher ration for overloaded students. These include 7 course under two degree programme in arts and social sciences with specialised areas of concentration.

Chatrapur Women’s Degree College has number of facilities geared towards the improvement of the learning environment for the students. These sports complex promote the students on matters concerning health and team work among themselves. This was a well-equipped library; it is a centre for learning, and all relevant resources and information for academic work and researches. College boasts of highly maintained classroom and thus provide a good class environment for learning. In line with practical learning the institution has departmental based laboratories. Realising this new fashioned trend in technological advance in education, the college has provided the students with state of the art IT tools.

At Chatrapur Women’s Degree College there are a total of seven Under Graduate courses are offered and all these are conventional full time courses. It is an arts and humanities college with professional honours degrees for various subjects-Education Hons,Political Science Hons and B.A. Home Science Hons etc. The overall enrolment of the students in different courses is 363 and the college ensured that the classes are kept small to enable easy learning.
