Chaudhary Shiv Kumar Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya, Fatehpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Chaudhary Shiv Kumar Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya was established in 2009 and is an affiliated college set up in Fatehpur of Uttar Pradesh. This is a co-educational institution of learning and is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education. The college offers two full-time courses. They have B.Ed affiliated programme and D.El.Ed affiliated programme, on total 607 students intake. 

Chaudhary Shiv Kumar Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya is well endowed with basic infrastructural amenities that meet the psycho-social needs of the learners. Any sports enthusiasts will benefit from the college as it has deemed it fit to provide sports facilities for the students. For those who must obtain information outside the classroom, a good reading room is provided as a resource centre with almost all the necessary information required by the student. The college also has departmental-based laboratories this facilitates the training the students out in practice in their fields of specialisation. There are general infrastructures that include the heath centre responsible of students’ health by availing first aid facilities in case of an emergency. 

At present, Chaudhary Shiv Kumar Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya provides two separate programmes under the stream of education. The B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) programme has full admission capacity of one hundred students while the D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) programme has full capacity to admit fifty students only. They are both regular degree courses that take two years to complete and are intended to equip the students with appropriate teaching skills. The above specialised programmes show that the college has a commitment of producing qualified educators for the primary and secondary education system. 

Intake of students at Chaudhary Shiv Kumar Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya is on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying /entrance test. For the B.ED programme, admission are strictly followed the government and University of Teaching regulation as directed by the state government and the university to which the college is affiliated with. Likewise, the D.El.Ed programme has the admission norms prescribed by the state government or UT administration.
