Chendu College of Engineering and Technology (CCET) started in 2010 is a self financing, affiliated college and located at Madurantakam, Chengalpet, Tamil Nadu. Recognised by the AICTE, this institution provides various courses in engineering for its students and is located in an area of 11.45 acres. CCET has total student enrolment 342 and having total faculty 65, so it has progressive atmosphere for learning. There are four B.Tech programmes offered by the college so the courses help students get professional knowledge and skills in the chosen field of engineering.
CCET has various infrastructural facilities that add value to the students. The college library is a knowledge centre with a comprehensive collection of yearly volumes of books, periodicals/journals and DPS on Delnet. For those who need boarding, SBCH hosts and provides different hostel sections for boys and girls, friendly environment befitting scholars. Sports facilities are also promoted within the college, accompanied by a cafeteria which provides food and beverages with healthy content in the day. For the improvement of technical activities in education, CCET has well equipped laboratories and computerisation division. A hall on the campus is used to host a number of functions and seminars which creates a lively college social life.
Most of the courses provided in CCET are the those required in the engineering markets. The college provides six full-time B.Tech courses: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Computer Science Engineering. Most of them are four-year degree programmes to prepare the students with adequate knowledge in specific disciplines. The total number of approved intakes for all courses are two hundred and ten, of which there will be thirty in civil engineering, and sixty in each of the other five programmes. Due to these various offered courses, students can select their area of specialisation depending on the course they wanted to complete.
The college admit students on the basis of their performance in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination with preponderance marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Some institutes also accept scores on related entrance examination as well into consideration. CCET’s intention of providing quality education is further realised by the AICTE accreditation as the programmes offered are bench marked with those of the other universities in the country.
