Chezhian College of Education, Kalasapakkam was set up in the year 2005, is one of the renowned institutions in teacher training in Thiruvannamalai of Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institute being a college affiliated to the MAHE and NAAC certified and NCTE recognised teaching institute with an affiliation ID of 531/TE/TE-I/2004/AGXXIV / 007. Located at a total area of 5.67 acres, the college provides two main courses in education. Chezhian College of Education has a student enrolment capacity of 460 and has been established with an exclusive faculty of 41.

Chezhian College of Education has excellent learning facility that can improve the learning of each and every learner that is placed in the college. For the enrichment of the academic purpose, the library contains more than nine thousand volumes, periodicals, and the educational magazine. Physical science, biological science, computer science, psychology, and language departments have equipped themselves with up to date multimedia technologies to enhance the learning-teaching process. The college also provided with a well-furnished auditorium which has the seating capacity of more than 200 people suitable for seminars, workshops and training. For the physical strength of the students the campus provided various sports areas such as a football ground, basketball court, two volleyball courts, two shuttle courts and a 200 meters synthetic athletic track, for different athletic activities.

Chezhian College of Education offers two full-time courses in education: Bachelors in Education commonly known as B.Ed and Masters in Education commonly known a M.Ed. The B.Ed programme has a sanctioned intake capacity of 100 and M.Ed programme has a sanction seat of 50. Both of them can be accomplished in two years, and will prepare students for being educators of the future. Educator preparation is well emphasised in the college as its courses produce competent and knowledgeable professionals in education.

In this section, candidates for admission at Chezhian College of Education are selected based on marks scored in the qualifying or entrance test. For the B.Ed programme there also a policy regarding admissions given by the government of state, UT Administration and the concerned university affiliation. Likewise, in the M.Ed programme, the admissions are based on merit, and the marks of the qualifying examination or any entrance examination or any other tests as per the norms of the M.Ed Admission Rules and Regulations of the concerned authority.
