Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Education from Ahmednagar was found in the year 2008 it is one of the prominent college from Maharashtra. This NCAA affiliated college authorised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), aims at nurturing our budding teachers. Situated in Jamkhed, Ahmednagar district, the institute occupies only 1 acre of land being compact that contributes to intensive learning atmosphere. Presenting a total of 96 students in the college and a total of 9 teaching faculties in the college, the college has preserved the small educational environment which is requisite for giving individual attention in teacher-student ratio.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Education has various facilities with advanced infrastructure aiming at improving the learner’s experience. At the core of these is the library with more than 4000 books that major on education and educational technology. The library is headed by Mr. Sawant U.P.(M. Lib & I. Sc) & stays open for extended hours beyond college timing and issues books up to four books per student. Proposed near to the library, there is a separate reading hall which will include number of small tubular reading spaces. The College has equipped Education Technology Lab with different teaching facilities including basic teaching aids like public addresses system to LCD projectors to equip the students of the modern teaching tools. Science Lab includes apparatus for the experiments right up to the H.S.C level with a view to giving practical knowledge. Realising that technology plays an essential role in teaching and learning, the college has a fully stocked computerised laboratory that is equipped with broadband internet and is run by a staff that is headed by a full-time ICT teacher. For physical standard the college provides both indoor and outdoor games under direction of Physical Director Mr. Parkhe B.K. (M.P.Ed) and Fitness gym for the Fitness lovers. The campus of Smt. S.S. Agrawal Group of Institutions includes separate hostel facilities for boys and girls for out-station students. Other facilities within the compound are an event and seminar centre , a canteen for the consumption of meals, and guest house to accommodate visiting faculty and or family members. 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Education aims at imparting quality teacher education; it offered only one course The B.Ed course. This is a two-year full-time course that prepares producing competent and motivated teachers. Like in many other institutions of higher learning, the B.Ed programme here has an approved intake of 100 and cuts across all the broad areas of education theory and practice. The curriculum as well as the college’s focus on practical training as being appropriate to produce well rounded teachers can be seen.

The B.Ed programme offered in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj College of Education admission process is done based on CET Government of Maharashtra.
