Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahavidyalaya, Kanpur was established in the year 2010 and is affiliated to Sakhin Bujurg, Sikandar, Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh. The institution is a co-educational one, and the campus is spread over 2.53 acres, providing an ambience that is conducive for higher education. This college presently has a total enrollment of 266 students and a faculty strength of 14, where the student-to-teacher ratio is maintained so that students get personalized attention. Currently, the institute offers two undergraduate degree programs; this itself explains that the institution believes in quality education in a few chosen fields. 

The amenities in the college make the learning process of students comprehensive and hassle-free. A fully stocked library acts as a knowledge hub for the students where students can get all sorts of help needed for their academic purposes. The institution owns department-based laboratories so that students can get indulged in practical learning and implementation methodologies of theoretical concepts. The college has a spacious auditorium for extra-curricular and academic events.

The academic curriculum offered by Chhatrapati Shivaji Mahavidyalaya includes two regular undergraduate courses: Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc). Both these courses are of three years, catering to students with heterogeneous academic interests in the field of humanities and sciences. That means it is a more focused approach toward education and allows more personalized attention with better resources being more concentrated per student. 

In general, rules applicable to affiliated colleges in Uttar Pradesh are followed. As far as entrance examinations go, while there is no specific examination, applicants shall have to meet the eligibility criteria fixed by the institution for various programs.  As the College grows and evolves so does its vision of shaping a future for its students, who can emerge prepared to meet all challenges and opportunities that their respective fields shall place in front of them.
