Chikkodi liberal education society’s college of education Chikodi, the college was started in 2004, is a co-educational college located in the state of Karnataka. Affiliated to Rani Channamma University Belagavi, the College is notified under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC act 1956 of Govt of India. This affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is exclusively engaged in the education of teachers. Located on an 8 acre campus it currently has a population of 182 students and 13 members of the faculty. The institute currently have one undergraduate programme that is in education while emphasising on producing competent facility in secondary level teaching.

Chikkodi liberal education society’s college has different infrastructures which enhance the students’ learning process. Its library has over 5000 textbooks, references, encyclopaedas and educational journals, it has a reading room which can hold up to 50 students. Laboratories are well equipped at the institution ; psychology lab with different inventories and apparatus for action research is available. In regard with IT, there is a computer resource center equipped with several PCs and qualified personnel such as instructors. Sports lovers have adequate materials and correct guidance from professional physical education directors. An auditorium is used for academic and cultural activities, on the other hand a health center offers first aid, round the clock medical care. Lecturing rooms are large and effective for air and light, and most of them are fitted with multimedia gadgets such as LCD projectors.

Chikkodi Liberal Education Society’s College of Education has one under graduate full time course. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme has a total duration of two academic years and an intake of one hundred articulate students. This programme will help students to prepare for teaching careers and education profession. The college’s curriculum is made to obtain academic success and create professional teachers.
