Children Teacher’s Training College Kota was established in the year 2007 is one of the renowned Colleges in the Rajasthan, India. This affiliated college approved with National Council for Teacher Education NCTE is especially focusing on teachers training courses. The college is located in a small plot of 0.712 acre area in Dadabari, Kota near the Police station; thus at a centralised place with a study oriented environment for those who want to become teachers. The institute has gathered a total of 399 students and employs 47 members of the faculty, keeping an impressive student-faculty ratio, which guarantees individual attention and high-quality education. The college currently offers two full-time degree programmes: B.ED and D.EL.ED are extentions, for those who have deep concern for future generation and education.

The Children Teacher’s Training College takes pride in its well equipped facilities to ensure students get an all-rounded education. The college has a well equipped and computer literated modernized library and the college has the resourceful library with books, internet and other educational material to support the research. Apart from general laboratory facilities, it is equipped with a variety of specialized laboratories such as a psychology laboratory and a language laboratory. The direction with the most instructional space is psychology; the door to a professional psychologist is opened to students here and aims at improving students’ career choice as well as their personality. Connected through computer networking, it helps inculcate linguistic proficiency needed in the teaching profession by offering 20 student units for Hindi, English, and Urdu. Further, educational technology lab equipped with the modern multimedia equipment is employed in the college, including interactive devices that turn usual board into the touchscreen, which helps future teachers to embody modern classroom conditions.

At Children Teacher's Training College, Kota, students can choose from two primary courses: this we have the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). They are both two-year, full time courses, aimed at providing students with skills and understanding sufficient for successful educational practice. The main stay of the college is the B.Ed programme which has an intake of 200 seats and the D.El.Ed programme which only intakes 50. They include both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and enable learners to assume the challenges of the education systems. The concentration on these two specific courses also enables the college to provide a specific and intensive training of teachers.

The admission is conducted at Children Teacher’s Training College in compliance with the current policies on the admission set by the Rajasthan State Government for training colleges. In the case of the B.Ed programmee, admission is based on the Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) examination for which JNV University, Jodhpur is the organiser. Students who have appeared for PTET are selected in order of merit, thus they can opt to join their preferred B.Ed college. 

The D.El.Ed programme also works on the similar merit system, admissions are given on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination or in terms of entrance examination & as per norms prescribed by the state government. This makes the admission process standardised and more fare for all the students who seek admissions in different universities. The college also has Alumni Association which conducts annual meetings, seminars, workshops and extension lectures to promote networking and industry interfacing for the existing students.
