Chitkara polytechnic Jhansla is a constituent college which started in 2002 at village Jhansla on the Chandigarh Patiala National Highway (NH-64), Distt SAS Nagar Ropar, Punjab India. As a co-educational institution, it provides several diploma courses in engineering fields for students who are in search of the professional courses in the field of engineering. As an institution that aims to produce technical education, Chitkara Polytechnic is now well-established in the locality; with its vision to make specific engineered career solutions for its students.

Like most of the other Polytechnic, the campus of Chitkara Polytechnic is fully equipped with modern facilities to support the learning process of students. The college has well equipped standard laboratories for the academic needs of the college as per the university curriculum. Among them, there are MATLAB, Simulation & Communications systems lab, Microprocessor & Micro controller lab, Microelectronics & VLSI lab, Embedded systems lab and CAD/CAM. It also has a Project Lab with state of the art equipment to aid students in projects or inventions unique to the college. Students are connected by a network of personal computers and Broadband Internet connectivity is available in entire campus area to make communication and usage of the Internet resource tactical.

Chitkara Polytechnic presently runs four full time diplomas having a span of three years each. Such programmes are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Automotive Engineering. 

The admission policy in Chitkara Polytechnic is quite simplified for its students in order to allow for the relevant aspiring students.

The campus also has well equipped modern Auditoriums and Seminar halls for conferences and other events so as to enhance interactive sessions with Industry experts and speakers. In order to meet the standard needs and comfort of the students this college provides the separate hostels for the boys and girls.
