Christian College, Kattakada, founded in 1965, is a premier institution of higher education in Thiruvananthapuram. This affiliated college is situated in a large 23-acre campus and has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It has a total student enrolment of 1368 and a faculty of 49 the college provides 14 courses in five different degree courses. The institute has a broad course portfolio comprising of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate in different fields cut across Arts, Commerce, and Science streams.

At this level, students have an opportunity to undertake Master of Science in Physics, Botany, and Chemistry. For inclined towards research, the college offers Doctor of Philosophy in the fields of Botany and Chemistry.
