Fatehgarh has established City Public Mahila Degree College. One of the esteemed all-women colleges affiliated with NCTE conferred with teacher education programs at the undergraduate level. The college boasts of a comprehensive admission process, selecting candidates qualified to enroll in B.Ed. and D.El.ED,  where merit for admission is determined by marks secured in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Without prejudice to the entire selection procedure, the college will adopt additional selection procedures as prescribed by the state government from time to time.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed. program at City Public Mahila Degree College, Fatehgarh, is a full-time, two-year course, approved for intake of 100 seats. This program was formulated to prepare students for teaching careers at the secondary and higher secondary levels. B.Ed. admission is on merit, according to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college may also use other methods of selection if prescribed by the state government.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed. program is a full-time, two-year diploma course, having 50 seats available. The course aims to prepare students for teaching at the elementary level. Admission in D.El.Ed. is also merit-based, on the performance of the candidate in qualifying exams and entrance tests. Selection is made according to the policy framed by the state government or UT administration.
