Founded in the year 2005, CK Pithawalla Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research is a well-known institution for pharmaceutical education in Surat, Gujarat. This affiliated college has approval from PCI and runs specialized courses in pharmacy education. This institute is located on a compact 2.5-acre campus, with a total enrolment of 308 students and a faculty strength of 23. This institute offers two total comprehensive degree programs: B.Pharma and M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics. Having an emphasis on quality education, this institute caters to a diversified composition of students, with 65% males and 35% females overall; it attracts 8% of its students from outside the state.

The institute is committed to providing facilities that will enhance the state-of-the-art learning environment. One such excellent academic resource is the Library, which comprises an impressive array of 4,859 titles and 22,061 volumes that impart substantial knowledge in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. At the Institute, well-equipped laboratories are maintained, including specialized facilities for Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Pharmacology, and Community Pharmacy—all geared toward hands-on learning. Moreover, the infrastructure is sound, consisting of 42 computers with internet facilities to improve the quality of students' statistical analysis, and research skills through online facilities, and to make itself open to pharmaceutical websites and journals. 

Again, there are two full-time courses at CK Pithawalla Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research: 4-year B.Pharma—100 seats—and 2-year M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics—15 seats; hence, the total approved intake to all programs comes to 115 students per year.The total current enrollment of 308 students in the institute in all years reflects a steady academic throughput.
