The College of Agriculture, Junagadh Agricultural University, was established in 1972, one among the premier constituent colleges belonging to Junagadh, Gujarat. This is a co-educational college aiming to promote agricultural education and research, with the campus sprawling over an area of 25.75 acres. Under this institution, courses are offered at three different levels of degrees, totaling four in number. Having a total enrolment of 1,134 students with a faculty strength of 90, the college still maintains an excellent student-to-teacher ratio, which ensures personal attention and quality education.
The College of Agriculture has very excellent facilities to enhance the learning environment of its students. The library is one of the centres of academic resources, having a huge collection of about 55,500 books, 11 foreign journals, and around 16,000 back volumes. All these are very important sources for studies, research, and for preparing for competitive examinations. There are well-equipped modern laboratories attached to each department in the college, enabling the students to have practical experience in their concerned field. The excellent IT infrastructure on campus ensures that students get to have the most recent technology for their academic pursuits. For keeping the students in good health and physical well-being, the college has developed sports complexes with indoor and outdoor game facilities and a gymnasium.
The College of Agriculture offers a gamut of agricultural programs at all levels of higher education. The institute offers four full-time courses, of which one is an undergraduate program, two postgraduate programs, and a doctoral program. The mainstay undergraduate course is the BSc. Available postgraduate courses include M.Sc Agriculture and M.Sc. Horticulture, that allow students to specialise in chosen areas.
