Mahatma Gandhi University was establish in the year of 1993 at Munduparamba College of Applied Science, Malappuram of Kerala state is affiliated college. This institution which has strived to offering quality education in applied sciences provides a refined curriculum which much emphasis is provided to computer science. The college, as an affiliated college, has a total student enrolment capacity of 99 general students and focused to provide personalised attention through maintaining a satisfactory student faculty ratio.

The college has equipped with a number of amenities that provides a positive environment to the college students. The library is an outstanding feature here with remarkable collections of textbooks and subscriptions to periodicals in Computer Science and Electronics fields. It plays a role of information and knowledge pointing to the needs of academic members of the university including students and staff. 

Another significant facility is the Electronics laboratory equipped with such identifying gear as microprocessor kits, CROs, and microcontroller kits allowing the students to get practical experience of a particular field studied by them. It is equally equipped with IT facilities Twenty brand new core i3/dual-core/AMD Athlon computers connected through a D-link advanced hub. This setup provides the students with free broadband internet connection with a speed of 4 Mbps for research and online class work. Moreover, college possesses DLP video projector and laptop for seminars and presentation to provide better exposure to the students.

In terms of academic offerings, the College of Applied Science, Malappuram currently provides one full-time undergraduate programme: B.Sc. in Computer Science.  This course aims to help students to develop comprehensive computer science skills, so that, the students can fit in the current trends that is rapidly developing in the world.

The admission programmes implemented in the College of Applied Science, Malappuram are fair to all aspiring students in the institution. Out of the total number of the seats 50% of them are available through management quota and the rest 50 % go through the CAP of Calicut University.
