College of Forestry, Ranichauri: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The College of Forestry, Ranichauri, came into existence during 2011 as an affiliated college at Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. This co-educational institution specializes in forest education and research. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses fill a large number in the campus that is spread over 501 acres with a congenial atmosphere for pursuing studies in the said branches of sciences. Presently, the college has a total student strength of 288 students and a faculty strength of 13, hence assuring personalized attention and quality education.

Other facilities in the College of Forestry, Ranichauri include the following to enrich the learning process among students. It has a good college library that exposes students to vast literature and research materials in the field of forestry. A health centre equipped with first-aid facilities is available for exigencies. This provides for facilities in physical fitness through a well-equipped gym within the campus. Department-based laboratories with adequate equipment for practical learning in the sciences of forestry are available within the college premises.

College of Forestry offers 6 courses on a full-time basis. Courses offered: The college offers one undergraduate program, and five postgraduate programs in different specialisations of forestry. The base is underrepresented at the undergraduate levels through the B. Sc Forestry Hons; while at post graduate, the courses is M. Sc. In these courses, their curricula are oriented toward specialised areas like Agroforestry, Silviculture, Tree Improvement, Forest Products, and Utilization, and Seed Science and Technology. The approved intake for these courses is 70, with 40 at undergraduate levels and 30 at postgraduate levels.
