College of Horticulture at Hiriyur was started in 2010 and it is one of the constituent colleges for horticulture education in Karnataka State of India. Located in the Chitradurga district the institute is spread across a beautiful 30-acre campus which provides a perfect backdrop for learning and research. Being affiliated to the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR), the college has strategically located itself as a premier horticultural college. Comprising of total 331 students and a teaching staff of 30 respectively the proposed college has an optimum student-teacher ratio which makes it deliver quality education. It offers 1 course for aspiring horticulturists and agricultural students, which is B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons.).

The College of Horticulture, Hiriyur is otherwise nurtured around its premier programme, the B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons) programme. Information Studies is a full-time programme that lasts for four years and grants degrees to successful students and this programme aims at producing competent graduates in horticultural sciences. The subjects taught in horticulture comprise plant breeding, crop production, post-harvest technology, and landscaping.
