The College of Teacher Education, Asansol, has a very good infrastructure setup that facilitates the institution in its endeavor to impart the best possible education to the student teachers. It has a library that serves as a knowledge hub with a vast collection of reference books, text books, encyclopedias, and educational journals. Students can make use of the well-spaced reading room in their free time. This would develop a habit for learning and discovering all throughout. Another principal feature is the fully equipped Science Resource Center, which provides actual exposure to Teaching Aids, 3-D charts, Models and Scientific Apparatus. This practical approach goes a long way in crystallizing concepts and preparing the students for their internship programs. Another important facility of the college is the ICT Resource Centre with 15 computer systems, all connected to the internet. The student-teachers are trained in ICT-based teaching-learning processes with the aid of LED projectors and educational software and multimedia resources.

The College of Teacher Education, Asansol, imparts only teacher education with a single course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). The B.Ed. course design caters to the student with knowledge, skill, and practical experience to pursue a successful teaching career.
