College of Teacher Education, Tinsukia: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The College of Teacher Education, Tinsukia, established in the year 1993, is highly distinguished in its stride to gear the subsystem of education for the rousing future of Assam, India. This co-educational college is located at Dahotia Chuk in the district of Tinsukia and is affiliated and approved by the NCTE. The faculty strength is 10, comprising experienced educators who impart the best of attention and instruction to the aspiring teacher students of the institution. 

Several facilities are considered to make sure the learning experience of students coming to the college. A well-stocked library forms a warehouse of knowledge with required resources for research and study. The campus houses separate, well-furnished laboratories for Biological Science, Chemical Science, and Physical Science with all modern apparatuses that aid practical learning. The college offers sports facilities and a gymnasium, promoting the fitness of the body with that of the mind. A manifold campus culture is ensured with an auditorium where lots of events and seminars are organised.

In line with the tradition of the college, the College of Teacher Education-Tinsukia offers its flagship program in its two-year full-time B. Ed course with an approved intake of 50 students so as to maintain an ideal student-teacher ratio for perfect teaching and learning. It is well-designed bearing a conception of giving comprehensive acquaintance with educational theories and teaching methodologies along with practical classroom management competencies. 

The admission process is done strictly based on merit. The prospective students must appear in a centrally conducted B.Ed Common Entrance Test (CET) that carries 70 marks. The academic background of the candidate is also evaluated by the college, which carries a 30-mark qualitative scoring system based on their performances in the H.S.L.C., H.S., Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree examinations. Thus, the selection procedure is very comprehensive, and hence, only the most dedicated and able candidates are selected for the program.
