CSI College of Arts and Science for Women, Madurai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The CSI College of Arts and Science for Women or better known as Madurai CSI College of Arts and Sciences for Women is an affiliated college set up in the year 1998 established at the district of Tamil Nadu, India. This women’s only college occupies a 6 acre land and provides 15 different courses in 8 programmes. The college has a total enrolment of 1126 students and fifty four members on faculty allowing for adequate focused learning. The institution offers courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Computer Applications for the education of women in the area.

The college has a combination of amenities to complement the students. A highly equipped library is an essential information resource center for the students and academic staff. General departmental laboratories are also useful where practical experiences are important, especially in science and computer-related classes. The campus has a cafeteria thus providing food and other beverage requirements of the student and staff. For the physical health of the students there is a sports complex while issues of health on lifestyle are taken care of, by provision of sporting grounds. An auditorium is a hall for meetings and lectures which promotes academic and cultural activities sessions. The main responsibilities of the college IT include providing students with a modern student learning technology. The girls hostel helps students from out-stations with private accommodation where they can comfortably study without any worries. Besides, there are transport facilities for students and staff who commute to the institution. 

CSI College of Arts and Science for Women has fifteen courses where all the courses are full time courses. The offered course falls under the different disciplines where students can take 11 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate programmes. The college provides different programmes like BA English, BBA, B.Com, B.Com Computer Applications, BA Tamil Literature, BCA, B.Sc in different specialisation and M.Com Computer Applications, MA English, M.Sc Mathematics, M.Sc IT etc. Despite the fact that information about the proportion of part-time, online or certification programmes is missing the emphasis is made on regular full-time educational process.

CSI College of Arts and Science for Women follows an easy and yet open admission process. The admission requirement for undergraduate programs is the 10+2 passed from a recognised board while for post graduate programmes ,student needs to have relevant graduate degree.
