Damodar Valley Teacher Training College, Dhanbad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Teacher Training College known as Damodar Valley Teacher Training College abbreviated as DVTTC was started in the year 2011 situated at the city of Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It is a co-educational college recognised by and affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) as an affiliated college. Resided on a consolidated 1 acre plot of land, DVTTC is accredited to provide two teaching courses for a combined strength of 155 students only. The college has a combination of 23 faculty members to enable it adhere to a student/teacher ratio of 17:1. 

In order to support its students, DVTTC provides a number of facilities to implement the educational process more effectively. The college possesses one of the best equipped libraries which customer service a wide range of more than 4600 books including reference books, encyclopedia, educational journals, etc. to create a reading culture among the college students. In aspects of physical concern, a health and physical resource center with indoor and outdoor activities for sports is provided. There are also specialties like the canteen facility, transport, Wi-Fi campus, departmental labs, auditorium, and hostel for boys and girls separately.

Two full-time courses in teacher education are provided by the post Graduate Institute(PGI) of the university. DVTTC has embraced a focused training of teachers, and this is evident from its programmes that have been developed with responsiveness to the changing education market demands.

The admission criteria of Damodar Valley Teacher Training College involves the policy of merit as per the mark scored by the candidate in the qualifying or entrance test. Admission policies of the college are in accordance with the admission policies designed by the State Government of Jharkhand and the university in which the college is affiliated to. In some of the states and Universities there may be additional requirement for the admission to B.Ed programme.
