Dayanand Danku Paraga Gyan Uday Mahavidyalaya, Ghatampur was established in the year 2005. It is an affiliated college located in Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. This institute is spread across a campus of 3.207 acres. This institution has been approved by the National Council For Teacher Education, NCTE. It offers as many as 13 different courses at under-graduate and post-graduate levels in its eight streams—arts, science, commerce, and education—to 587 students, with a faculty strength of 40, thus maintaining a healthy student-to-teacher ratio.

The admission process to Dayanand Danku Paraga Gyan Uday Mahavidyalaya is based on the course a student opts for. In programs like B.Ed and B.P.Ed., admission is usually based on merit, with regard to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination. The selection process for B.P.Ed is combined with a fitness test and an interview. The admission is based on the merit of the qualifying examination or through an Entrance Examination as per the policy of the State Government or UT administration.
