One of the renowned institutions in Maharashtra, India, DBF Dayanand College of Arts and Science, Solapur, was established in the year 1940. Affiliated, with this accredited college from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, its campus is sprawling on 63 acres. The institute holds a total student enrolment of 2,920 students and 59 faculty members, with courses dispersed over 27 courses within 5 degree programmes. The institute maintains a reasonable gender balance percentage, with 52% female students. The institution is focused mainly on undergraduate 70% and postgraduate 30% programmes; also the students belong to the same state only.

DBF Dayanand College offers a variety of courses, starting from 3-year undergraduate programmes to 2-year postgraduate programmes. The total intake capacity of the college is 2,723 students for all courses. In the list of popular courses, BA has 480 seats, BSc has 480, and BSc ECS Self Finance has 80 seats. At the postgraduate level, the college offers various programmes in subjects like English, Geography, History, and Economics, with 50 students in each programme. The institute conducts courses in Physics, Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Mathematics in its M.Sc course, again with varying intake capacities

Admission is done on a merit basis at DBF Dayanand College under the university guidelines followed by them. Admissions to the undergraduate programmes for BA and B.Sc are based on the merit of the qualifying examination. In postgraduate programmes of MA and M.Sc, the candidates may be asked to appear for a Common Entrance Test conducted by P.A.H Solapur University along with the consideration on academic merit. There is a separate entrance examination for a course in B.Sc ECS Self Finance as conducted by the college.
