DD Jain College of Education, Ludhiana: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

DD Jain College of Education is one among the renowned teacher training institution of Punjab, India which started its journey in the year 1999 and is situated at Kidwai Nagar, Ludhiana. This affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Comprising of just 3 acres of land, the college offers quality education in teaching subject, to pupils exclusively. DD Jain College of Education has a total enrolment capacity of 156 students along with 15 faculty members to facilitate teaching learning process. The institute mainly focuses on a single course of B Ed for female students who want to make a career in teaching profession.

Thus, the college has a list of amenities that can be used to improve the learning process of their students. A well stuffed library is another major facility for educational information, and it contains the books, journals, and periodicals on various education aspect and other related discipline. Some of the features of ICT Resource centre includes modern computers/ Multimedia equipments and other equipment required in the technological optimised classes of the modern world. For the camp health of the college it has a fully equipped gym and other sporting equipment for indoor and outdoor games. A multi-purpose hall is used for holding general meetings, examinations and cultural activities which make the campus activities active. Also, the college has a health centre which encompasses first aid necessities to cater for the needs of the students.

At present, DD Jain College of Education is providing only one full time course of Bachelors of Education [B.Ed]. This particular two year programme allows an approved intake of one hundred students and shows the institutes selective admission for teacher training. The B.Ed course has been developed to ensure students gain the knowledge and skills required to teach in diverse learning institutions. Despite the fact that the college currently offers only one degree programme, the programme offers a rich theory and practical preparation for the teaching profession.

The procedure for the admission in B.Ed programme in DD Jain College of Education is through Common Entrance Test. Selections take place on the merit basis in this test/page, as far as possible in the required subject combinations and in compliance with the provisions of the Government of Punjab.
